• Use these to Hold the tire down, pushing the bead down into the relief valley (Drop Center) of the wheel while you insert to demount tip in to remove your tire.
  • Use them as a set of 3, to pre-compress tire while locking the wheel into our locking device.
  • Black Urethane Formula plastic is very durable and safe.
  • They won’t scratch or mar your wheels
  • Polyethylene spring plunger clamps onto inside of rim.
  • These clamps can also be used with automatic changers to hold the tire compressed into the drop center behind the shoe while the carriage is turning. They really help with the stiff ones. The less expensive machines don’t bog down as much and reduce the possibility of rim slippage in the rim clamp.
  • You will find these INVALUABLE once you’ve tried them.

What people are saying about the XtraHand Clamp:

These might work for some applications , but any real stiff sidewall tires(Goldwings) make them impossible to get on . **True. They will not fit on Goldwing rims. See our videos for the inexpensive wood block method that we believe works the best on GL 1800 wheels. Note: You should be able to mount the front with the Mount/Demount bar and not the SpoonBars. ~Richs

Dear Sir: I enjoyed reading up on your Xtrahand clamp tool. I have a Motoguzzi Quota and it has spoked wheels with Metzeler Tourance Tires. They are very stiff in the side wall and provide a good work out to install. I use on the rear tire 130/80-17 automotive 1/2 inch heater hose to hold the tire off the bead and place it in the tire well. The front tire is a 90/90-21 and I use 5/16 fuel line to hold the tire off the bead and into the tire well. I would like to hear from your company about your tire changer. Please forward ideas to my e-mail here in Calgary. Thanks again for great products. Howard Rymes-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------No-Mar Reply--On those tires you will be unable to use an Xtra Hand Clamp. You do not have enough space to fit one. They are mainly for Standard, Sport, and Sport touring tires and some Harley Davidson. There needs to be at least 1 1/2" of possible space to compress the tire. Your hose application sounds creative and effective. Those are some narrow rims. You can fit one or two of our SpoonBars in the same space to achieve what you are doing as well!! ~Howard Rymes

I did my first tire change yesterday with the No-Mar Classic, and while it was an easy mount on my front wheel (CBR1000RR), the rear was a beast. I got the Xtra Hand Clamps in the package, but there was no instructions on how to use them or what they were for, so we ended up struggling harder than we would have otherwise. Did I miss the instructions in the video, or? Anyway, thanks for a great product.--ANSWER: Watch the "Sport Bike" video with the K-12S wheel. It should be pretty clear there. That 1000RR tire should be fairly "Mild" if you use the "Xtra Hand Clamps" and a "Yellow Thing" tool. ~LosPer, OHIO USA

I purchased a set of 3 of your XtraHand clamps BEFORE you discovered that they do not work on GL1800 tires. I had been using the wooden block method before that. Then, later, I saw your more recent video where you recommended the wooden blocks instead of the XtraHands for GL1800 rims and now I see above where it is said say the XtraHands WON"T fit GL1800 rims. Well, I reckon ignorance is bliss becasue they have been working OK for me. If a wood block is handy I may still grab it, but the XtraHand clamps do fit front and rear GL11800 rims and they do put the bread into the relief valley - at least for me. I have used all of the brands of GL1800 tires except for the Chineese ones. Metzelers are fairly flexible, Bridgestones are not too stiff, Dunlops are STIFF and Avons are MOST STIFF. I also use your original length NoMar bars on front and rear GL1800 with no problems and also upon VTX 1300C rims with no problem - but lately I have been using a tire bar on all of them with great ease on and off. Go figure? ~Vern Mullins
